We’ve had some pretty brief trips to New York City, and always enjoy our time there. This time we decided to do something different and made it a day trip. With the first flight of the day shortly after 6:00am, and evening flight options, we had a very full day, travelling very lightly and not paying summer hotel rates.

After arriving at LaGuardia on our early flight, we stopped in the lounge for some breakfast. Before leaving, we bought some discounted rush tickets to &Juliet, a favourite musical that we’d seen in Toronto, before the production moved onto Broadway. With the musical locked in, we decided to start the morning with our first visit to the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn.

After a great day in New York City, capped by another great performance of &Juliet, we took the subway and bus back to LaGuardia. With a few hours before our flight, we had a wonderful dinner and some drinks in the new Chase Sapphire Lounge. Although our original flight was delayed, we managed to move to an earlier (also delayed) flight, that got us back to Toronto almost on schedule.
