With Canada travel relatively open to the vaccinated, and options to head to the Maritimes for family visits, I planned a family trip over the July 1st long weekend. The timing was arranged around Tom’s break from work, but with the ability to travel to Iowa recently open for him, he instead headed out on his own to Iowa City leaving me with the family time at my parents’. Although it would have been great to have him along for the trip, was very happy that he was able to visit with his family and didn’t have to miss the wedding.
