Ottawa

Unfortunately, it has been a long time since we last made it to Ottawa, but with some good fares took the opportunity to spend some time with friends and to explore the city.  Because I had already committed to the charity runway walk at Toronto Pearson we scheduled the trip after I completed the 2km walk on the Pearson runway.  Although with the walk the stay in Ottawa was short, after a nice dinner at Lynn and Neel’s house with some old University friends, we stayed downtown Saturday night.  On Sunday morning I started the day with a nice run along the canal and then we explored Parliament Hill, including an early morning trip up the tower, and market area before a nice lunch with a childhood friend.  We ended with a trip to my former home that I had not seen for a number of years and finally heading home on Sunday afternoon.
