We always enjoy our trips to NYC and have tried to make it to the theatre each trip.  For this trip, we decided to stay in the Wall Street area, which anchored some of our trip to the southern end of Manhattan.  Of course, we also had to head uptown to Broadway to see our play.  We saw the play adaptation of Groundhog Day, which was very technically complex and well-acted.  This was also our first time in NYC post-Trump, and the impacts around the Trump Tower were quite visible.  Overall, it was a nice spring weekend away.

After making our way to Manhattan, in from New Jersey, we checked into the hotel in Wall Street and headed uptown.

It was a long walk, but we made it back to the hotel just in time for happy hour, as a nice reward for our long walk.

Before our flight, we took the opportunity to explore lower Manhattan.  We covered some familiar territory from other tips, and also found our way to the Battery Park City Esplanade looking across to New Jersey.  This was new to us, and led us back to the World Trade Center Memorial and across Manhattan to our hotel.

We checked out of the hotel midday and headed to LaGuardia for our evening flights home.
