Barbados

This was actually our second trip to Barbados in February. Two weeks prior we attempted the trip, but due to some weather and equipment challenges, we spent 6 hours in a plane on the ground in Toronto, only to return to the gate with a canceled flight. Luckily, Air Canada and our hotels were very accommodating, and we were able to move everything forward two weeks at no cost. This time, the flights and weather cooperated, and we had some nice weather in Barbados. The first day, we stayed at the Hilton, our normal Barbados destination. For the second night, we took advantage of the free night I earned in Hamburg with my Fairmont status, and stayed at the amazing Fairmont Newport Beach. Our beach front room was great, and this is where I also got the news of my new job in Houston. With the uncertainty around my job prior to that it was very welcome news.
