New York in the spring is usually a good bet for nice weather, and to enjoy the city before the summer crowds arrive. As we usually do, we got in a lot of walking, and found some new places to explore. Although we didn’t plan our trip around the theatre, I had heard very good things about the new production of Children of a Lesser God, and we managed to get front row seats to the Saturday matinee without paying a fortune. Overall it was an enjoyable weekend.

After staying overnight near the airport, we headed into Manhattan, and explored before and after our play. Although it was a little brisk, we enjoyed the sunshine, and the play was definitely a highlight.

Another sunny, but cold day, we headed up to Roosevelt Island. I believe our last time in the area was our first trip to NYC in 2001, and there was also a lot of recent development of the island.
After a nice morning walk, we checked out of the hotel and made our way back to LaGuardia for our afternoon flights home.
