As we flew into Chicago and drove to Iowa City, bad weather is always a risk. For the last few years Thanksgiving weather has been free of significant storms. Luckily, we got out early and avoided the worst of the snow showers. We had a full gathering in Iowa City with all the siblings and the majority of the nieces and nephews. Our trip back to Des Moines to visit Tom's parents' new place was delayed by an Iowa Hawks game, but we did get to see their beautiful new home and assist with their technology setup. We headed back to Chicago on Sunday morning and back to our respective homes.
