My mother’s last family reunion was in Waterloo in 2022. I was involved with planning last time; this time the planning torch passed to my cousins, who planned this year’s reunion in Saskatoon. With the majority of my mother’s generation in Western Canada, it was a natural location for the next reunion, and we had a great turnout. Kim and Cathy traveled with us after spending some time in Ontario. We met up with my parents for the first main day of the reunion on Friday afternoon.

Jul 19

After our arrival in Saskatoon, we had a bit of time for a walk and dinner with the family before the official reunion itinerary started with an informal dinner gathering in the hotel. In addition to a few photos from our walk, Tom captured lots of family candid photos from the dinner.

Jul 20

Day 2 started with lunch at my cousin’s house and some family photos in the park, followed by a formal reception dinner in the hotel. Everything worked out very well, and we had a very great turnout.

The festivities ended with some karaoke and games.

Jul 21

For the last day, we had time for more games after breakfast as folks left on their own schedule.

My parents had more time planned in Saskatchewan with family, so we said goodbye after lunch together and had the afternoon with Kim and Cathy to walk around Saskatoon before our evening flight to Toronto.
