Chicago

This time our now-annual trip to Chicago with Tom’s family coincidentally aligned with the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.  Although the crowds were a little crazy, it was very nice to be in Chicago in mid-March rather than in January.  The weather although still cool, was pleasant enough for walking through the drunken mobs in green and watch them dye the Chicago River a fluorescent green.  Unfortunately the photos from Chicago were lost, so we don’t have any proof of the green river; you’ll have to trust me that it was an interesting and vivid assault on the environment.  We did have a good visit with Tom’s family and a wonderful dinner at Roy’s -- one of our favorite restaurants.
