Thanksgiving had us back in Iowa City.  This time we tried flying into the smaller Moline, IL airport.  Although we had to connect in Chicago, the weather cooperated and the connections worked pretty well.  Tickets were cheaper than flying to Cedar Rapids and the drive to Iowa City and Des Moines was much shorter than from Chicago.  We were at the Sheraton downtown and took advantage of the common area around the pool for games and socializing.  For Thanksgiving dinner we had a private room at a hotel; the service was a little lacking, but it didn't stop us from enjoying the food.  We went to Rick and Rosie's for dessert and socializing.  All of Tom's siblings were able to make it this time for at least Thanksgiving evening.  I was up early for Black Friday shopping and spin class, and as usual we spent some time in Des Moines with Tom's parents before heading home.
