We really enjoy NYC Broadway weekends, and as is usually the case, we tend to plan the weekend around a specific play. We had heard that Tatiana Maslany and Bryan Cranston were doing a Broadway production. I knew that I had to see it, and set out on finding a second play to round out the weekend. Adding the new Aaron Sorkin production of To Kill a Mockingbird, starring Jeff Daniels, which was getting amazing reviews, the stage was set for a great theatre weekend.

After breakfast in our Manhattan hotel, we headed out to explore the city before our matinee play. As is usually the case, we covered a lot of ground, but not a lot of new spaces.

After a full day of great theatre, we tucked in for the night. Although both plays were very different, they were both very well staged and acted.

The temperatures were still cool, but we had a beautiful sunny day, so after a workout and breakfast, we walked over to the Hudson Yards. This new mixed-use development, built over the Hudson Rail yards, was getting a lot of positive comments and was a new end of the High Line Trail.

Having gotten our steps in for the morning, we took the train and bus back to the airport for our flights to Houston and New York.
