Flying between Houston and Toronto is relatively expensive, so it is helpful if we can find cheaper ways to get together. Buffalo is a much cheaper place to fly, but does require a drive to Toronto. To make it easier for both of us Tom drove to Buffalo, and we met in Niagara Falls for the weekend. Unfortunately, Tom wasn’t feeling too well, but we did get out and explore the beauty of the falls and continued our honeymoon tour. This was my first walk across the border and the bridge in many years, which was fun and reminiscent of our first trip together to the falls. As I was still chasing my airline status, I took the long way there and back (via the west coast in both directions), but did get to combine mileage-earning and a visit with Tom, and even managed to get home a few hours early.
