This was our standard July 4th visit to Iowa. As it works best with direct flights, as usual we flew to Kansas City and drove to Tom’s parents house in Altoona, IA. Luckily the holidays coincided with the July 1st weekend in Canada so didn’t require any extra time off this year. Everyone was in attendance (I lost count, but there were somewhere around 30) and we had lots of food, movies and game playing. However, we did not take a single photo, so nothing to show for it. There are rumours of another family events soon, so we may get another opportunity for photos before Thanksgiving.
