Unlike our last trip to NYC, this trip was completely built upon the theatre.  When I heard that Bette Midler and David Hyde Pierce were returning for the last months of the Hello Dolly run on Broadway, I grabbed some tickets and then planned the trip.  Coincident with that was the new staging of Boys in the Band with an all-gay star-studded cast.  We stayed on Wall Street, so strayed a bit from Broadway.   

Jul 21

After staying overnight near the airport, we made our way to the Andaz Wall Street, checked in early, and then went out for a walk prior to our first matinee.

After a rewarding day of plays we had a nice rest back downtown in the more quiet Wall Street.

Since we were already downtown, we spent the rest of our time in southern Manhattan.

Although there was weather impacting flights, we all managed to make it home. I took a bit of a scenic route and earned a few more status miles by flying back through Denver.
