Yosemite

October 23-26, 2008

Although we have been to San Francisco numerous times, this was the first time we made it to Yosemite.  Our flight into SFO was delayed and we ended up stuck in the last row of the plane after an aircraft switch.  We only had one night in the park, but we made the most of the two days and really enjoyed the Yosemite Lodge in the valley.  We had brisk weather, clear skies, and the stars were incredible.  In the fall, many of the more impressive waterfalls are dry, so we'll have to plan to come back in a future spring, now that we know how close it is to San Francisco.

We have a pretty miserable flight and eventually arrive in SFO for the night

We get up early and head for Yosemite

Oct 25
After a night at Yosemite Lodge we spend the rest of the day in Yosemite

We stay overnight in the Bay Area and have a relaxing morning before the flight home
