April 28th, 2015, was the date set for the arguments in Obergefell v. Hodges, the combined cases before the US Supreme Court arguing for the recognition of same-sex marriage in the US. Tom decided to make a one-day trip to Washington DC to see what was happening. Though he did not brave the long lines to enter the court during the hearing, he got to experience some of the specacle of the day.
Careful framing allows the Court to appear quiet and tranquil.
However, the day was quite raucous, with protesters both for and against SSM
