Last year, I completed my visits to the 50 states in the USA, but Tom was a little further behind in completing for himself.   With our trip to Boston, we decided to spend some time exploring a few more states.  Although our original plan had us making it to Connecticut and Rhode Island, we got an early start to the day and decided to add Maine to the itinerary as well.  Spring hadn’t fully arrived in Maine, so we got to see a bit of snow and enjoyed some cool wind off the Atlantic.  In addition to upping the state count, we also spent some time exploring the Yale campus.  I briefly considered continuing on to New Jersey and New York to see if we could cover seven states in one day, but decided to stop at five.

After staying overnight in the small town of Shelton, CT, we make our way back to Boston for our flights back home.
