Grand Cayman

Working to visit some new countries and enjoy some nice weather, we planned a trip to the Grand Cayman Islands. We had some nice weather, and in addition to enjoying our resort, we got out and explored the rest of the island. Although this was just a short trip, as we get to more Caribbean islands, I’m beginning to understand why these are popular destinations.

December 8

After our morning flight from Washington to Grand Cayman, we picked up our rental car and headed to our resort. Our room wasn’t ready, so we went out to explore the island.

After our exploration, we checked in and explored the resort and 7 Mile beach. After enjoying the sunset on the terrace, we had a nice dinner next to the beach.

December 9
For our second day, after breakfast, we headed out to explore more of the island.

After covering the entire island, we had a late lunch at the resort and headed to the airport for our evening flight to Houston.
