Tom was again on cat duty, so had to skip our planned trip with my family in Charlottetown. I was supposed to have an early afternoon flight, but there was a crew scheduling delay and storms in the area, so I had a late evening departure, but did get to save a half day vacation and got a $400 rebate from Air Canada.

Jul 22

After breakfast, I reconnected with my family, who had dropped me off at my hotel the night before. We spent some time visiting and playing games before going for a walk and some food in Charlottetown and ultimately back downtown for the play we’d come to see..

We enjoyed the play at the Confederation Centre. It was a very light Comedy, “The Play that Goes Wrong” that I’d actually seen in London previously. It was a good production and we had excellent seats.

Jul 23

For the last day on the island, we headed to the beaches near Cavendish. There was still some scattered rain on the island, but we actually did very well by going just a bit north. It was fun to head back as a family to places that we visited when I was a kid. Things have changed a lot of course, but some things were still quite familiar.

After Kim and Cathy left on their way home, I had lunch with my parents and a walk on North Rustico Beach

With a short flight delay, I had some extra time to visit with my parents before heading to the airport to head back to Toronto.
