This was our normal trip to Iowa for Thanksgiving.  For a change, we flew directly in and out of Des Moines.  On the way in we stayed over night in Chicago and landed on schedule on Wednesday.  The drive to Iowa City was easy, and although not all of Tom's family made it, we did have a good visit.  On Thanksgiving went out for dinner before ending the night at Tom's brother's house.  On Friday I was up at 5:00 am for shopping and then we headed back to Des Moines for the weekend.   As well as spending time with Tom's parents, we got to see his brother and wife who had not made it to Iowa City.  The snow on Saturday and Sunday delayed our flight home through Milwaukee by an hour or so, but was far better than the nightmare that was Chicago that day.
