Aug 17-23

UA832 IAH-LAX, UA2099 SAN-IAH

As I had a conference in San Diego, we took advantage of my paid trip to California to have a weekend in San Diego together.  We both flew into LAX, and because of some traffic along the coast, took a new route into San Diego through the mountains.  Luckily the areas we went through weren’t impacted by the recent wildfires, but there was still smoke in the area. 

Aug 18

After staying overnight by LAX, we picked up the rental car and made our way towards San Diego.

After enjoying the sunset, we headed back to our hotel in La Jolla to finish the day.

Aug 19-23

Tom had a morning flight back to Toronto, so I dropped him off at the airport and headed downtown to register for my conference, where i stayed until the 23rd, when I flew back to Houston and on to Toronto for the weekend.
