This was supposed to be a family trip, but plans changed, so we turned it into a sightseeing and shopping trip.  We stayed in the suburbs on Friday, but took the train into the city on Saturday.  The weather was frigid, but we still walked around the Miracle Mile and the main sights.  We also found lots of good sales and we got a little extra time on Sunday for shopping, as our return flight was cancelled.  The Air Canada Super Elite concierge in Chicago moved me to the later flight and up to the front.  When we got to the airport, I talked them into moving Tom as well.
