I had a conference in LA and headed out early on Friday with Tom to spend some time together on the West coast. As we had other plans in LA we spent most of the time in San Diego and Tom flew out of San Diego and I drove back to LA to get ready for the conference that started on Monday.

After staying by the airport in LA, we got up early and headed south. Having spent much time in San Diego, we decided to check out Balboa Park for the first time, and quite enjoyed it.

As much as we travel to San Diego, we don’t get tired of Cabrillo National Monument. It is a great place to hike and get close to the shore and still be close to the city.

On the way back from the Cabrillo, I dropped Tom at the airport for his flight home, and relaxed for a little while before making my back up the coast to Los Angeles and my conference, making a nice end to a weekend together.
