The Ontario government decided that we needed another holiday and added Family Day to the calendar in February. Although my company decided that we had enough holidays, I moved one of my Fridays off to the Family Day holiday so that Tom and I could escape our snowy February. We flew to LA then headed to our hotel on Mission Beach in San Diego. The weather was beautiful and, as always, we found some interesting places to explore. I had to be in Houston for a meeting on Tuesday, so I headed directly there, and Tom went back to Toronto.
The next weekend, Tom had a Drake-Butler basketball game to watch with his family, but with my schedule, I could not get to Indianapolis. I decided to avoid the snow, and stopped in Tampa on the way home from Houston. The weather was a little rainy, but certainly better than the snow I left behind in Toronto.
