We had planned a trip to New York City to finally see the play Plaza Suite that we had originally expected to see in the summer of 2020. To optimize time and cost, we chose to fly from Buffalo early on Saturday morning and have one night in Manhattan and a late day flight back to Buffalo.

Still between jobs, I had some extra time to hang around in Niagara Falls before making our way to New York City. Since I wasn’t in a hurry I caught a bus to Niagara Falls Canada, and then walked over the bridge to Niagara Falls, NY, where I was staying, with time to capture some photos from the American side.

Before Tom joined me from Toronto, I had more time to explore the New York side of Niagara Falls. During the lockdown, we had lots of time to explore the Canadian side, so it was fun to get a new perspective.

Tom arrived from Toronto, and since we had an early morning flight, we headed to an airport hotel where we grabbed some dinner .

With some storms in the area, our early morning flight was delayed, but we were lucky to get to Newark with plenty of time to check in for the hotel and go for a walk.

We always enjoy walking NYC and were happy to cap the day seeing Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick in Plaza Suite. The play is a 1968 Neil Simon and was a bit dated, but still a great performance worth watching.

As we had an evening flight back to Buffalo, we had more time to explore Manhattan.

Having completed our real life return to the site of 1968’s Plaza Suite, we were able to relax in the hotel before making our way back to Newark and on to Buffalo

After a late night arrival in Buffalo, we had a leisurely drive home to Toronto.
